My Name is Masumi
Laali Writes is on a mission to bring your creative ideas to life. Whether that's through editing your novel, working on your blog, editing your website, writing your custom poem, or managing your social media pages. The founder, Masumi Atul Parmar, has always been passionate about the written word and found that she had a keen curiosity in transforming it.
By that, she means taking an idea or a work-in-progress and bringing it to its finish point. Masumi truly enjoys the art of transforming a piece by being its catalyst.
Masumi, lovingly called Laali by her parents, decided to turn her freelance opportunities into a one-woman business in 2021 after lots of encouragement from clients, family, and friends alike.
Her experience in developmental editing comes from working on over 100 novels, one of which hit #1 on Amazon's bestseller list in three different countries while another received several honoured distinctions and one honourable mention at the Eric Hoffer Book Award. Her whitepapers have been published by Bernama News, Money Compass, Marketing in Asia, and more. Masumi has had the opportunity to work with clients all over the globe for industries ranging from Cybersecurity to Food & Beverages to Marketing & Management.
Her true comfort lies in poetry, having learnt it through her best friend at 14. You can find her with a mug of chai in hand as she works on yet another poem in her home library.

Masumi decided to study and work in the field of Creative Writing for one simple reason: when she was younger, all she wanted was to be a part of a book that would sit on another little brown girl's bookshelf.
A constant wish of Masumi's was to understand how Enid Blyton made stories come alive, even though she simply wrote on a page.
As she grew up, she decided to add Marketing into the mix as she realised, she had a passion for marketing through the power of words, aka copywriting.
